A6 quattro4

Thank you for all your responses. During the height of the snow storm in
Pittsburgh
yesterday, I talked my wife into joining me in rush hour traffic for a 1
hour trip to Butler, Pennsylvania to
see a pearl white 1994 Audi100cs quattro. It was being taken to the
auction the next morning, and another person from Pittsburgh had shown
some interest in the car. Since it was auction bound, the Toyoto dealer
was willing to let it go for basicly what they had in the car. After 5
minutes on the road, I am thinking silently to myself--these roads are
really bad but on we go and finally arrive at the dealer. The pearl white
94 is as the salesman reported in pristine condition with only 49k. As we
are getting into the car for a test drive, the Pittsburgher cruise by - we
disregard him and depart on our test drive. As expected, it is slower
then my turbo on take off, but the car appears rock solid as are the
brakes. My wife drives it back to the garage and we close the deal for ,
19,144 plus tax.
I have the origional sticker price show model and price of 45k, and
also the 1994 booklet. What surprises me is that none of the
pictures show the grill painted pearl white as on my new car. Was
this done on all pearl white cars? Also, the car has all options,
except the trip computer. The booklet does not show trip computer
as being available in 1994 even thought the manual tells you how
to use one. When were they dropped? If you have any information, I
would appreciate it. Also, will need some new tires shortly, any
suggestions for this car. Blizziks have worked well on my 87tq, but I
remain open to suggestions.
