Probably the same (Bosch) component.  Switch it to 'intermittent' and you get a 
six-second delay.  Leave it a second or two, and switch it off.  It wipes the 
screen at this point.  When the screen is cluttered, put it back into 
'intermittent'.  It will then use this period until reprogrammed in the same 
way.
