V8Q accessory belt adjust

     It's not adjusted.  It's stretched via a heavy duty spring
     inside the passenger side engine cover.  Either the belt is
     too long (stretched?), it's threaded wrong, or the tensioner
     somehow "jumped" the spring (very unlikely).  Pull on the belt
     and you should see the tensioner move twords the right. Under
     the tenstioner pulley, there is a small hole to insert a
     tool (drill bit works fine) to hold the tensioner while you
     changed the belt.  Check the belt routing.  It's also
     possible that if someone worked on the car, the "tool" they
     used to hold the tension may have broken in there, or they
     just forgot to remove it?
