Steamboat Wrapup and E-mail Meltdown

First off, Steamboat was a blast.
Thanks to Bob and Deb for a wonderful event.  Same time next year?  Two open
track days maybe??  Also to Chad and Steve, for running me ragged on the slopes.
Steve and Nicky, for their hospitality Sunday night. Chris, for the use of his car this
year.  To Bruce, Jason, Steve, Nicky, Ben, Val, Scott, RB, Bob, Chad et al for the
late night Friday (and to the brewers of Fat Tire Ale!).  And to Russell, for keeping the
van and trailor safe in Denver while we played with the 4kq up in the mountains.
Amazingly, we came away with less body damage this year.  I associate this with
body design changes between the '84 and 85-7 4kq's.  We didn't rip off both front and
rear spoilers as we did last year, now that they're one piece with the bumper.  Damage
done by Chris and I was limited to right side doors.  Something about the inside lines
around the 180 hairpins of turns 3 and 5. The third driver (first timer to Steamboat), Jim,
managed to loosen the front bumper and in the last run of the day, take out the turn
signals, reflectors, right headlight, alternator belt and lower alternator mount.  All in all
a wonderful event.
Always nice to see everyone else and their respective rides.  Lots of very nice, and very
impressive quattros were present.  Including some newer A4's with their owners grinning
from ear to ear.
Andrew, the skiing was good, but closer to NE skiing than the CO skiing I was expecting.

On a different note, seems that while I took a week off for Steamboat, leaving my computer
in the hands our network stooge (as opposed to our network gurus) for a reinstall of 95, he
didn't understand my explicit (written) instructions not to format one of my hard drives. On
top of all the work I'm now missing, I no longer have my email archives or address book.
Sorry to those who were or are expecting an email from me or with whom I have open items.
Those who come to mind are Mike V., Steve B. and Doug Q.  I'm going to require refresher
emails for mailing addresses, items wanted, amounts owed etc.  Again, sorry for the hassle.

Also to Okay, so it wasn't quite a meltdown.
