Re- Wanted to buy-V8 taillights

Hey now! Careful - I have 300,000,000 volts running through the shell of
the car. Any one of you punks touches it........ ;-) (actually the alarm
is broken)

I didn't post this to the list, but since there seems to be interest:

I got the all-red (flash orange) tail lights through Mark at Autosports
Unlimited in Zeeland, MI (800-624-2443). $45 for each corner, $250 for
the center. They were very hard to track down. You might also try AAA
Small Car World in TX - dunno the # - they advertise in Hemmings -
usually have a V8 posted for parts) Sold my OE taillights for ~$100 to
one of y'all. Replaced the side markers with red (flash orange, also
avail in green, yellow, blue, clear, tint) and front signals black
(nothing else avail). The latter two items came from AVS (360-748-8578).
The side skirts also came from there.

Regarding the gentleman who wondered why I'd change em from the orange
ones: the rest of my car is red, silver, or black. (also the Audi Sport
colors) The orange did not look clean, particularly against the red. The
car looks newer - nearly all cars (audis included) these days have
all-red tail lights; it updates the appearance. Most people think it's a
94. Surprises me, but they do. There is no downside - the blinkers all
still flash orange - except the cost; about $300 all told. I plan to
keep the car a while, so why not...

There's a nice red 91 200q running around in California with V8 lights.
Think Sarge'd mind if we stole 'em? :-)
