Re: 4KQ Engine Oil Temperature

Pete (and qlist):

I've driven both types of routes -- 4 hours from Iowa City to Chicago, and
lots of around-town type stuff in the greater Chicagoland area. In all
cases, the water temperature shows things progressing normally, yet the
oil temp guage never moves more than a notch from rock-bottom (maybe two).

Oh, btw, about which hash mark on the water temp does your (or you all's)
fan come on? Mine waits until 3/4 way up the guage.. is this normal?

I am a very overheating-paranoid kind of guy -- my old Taurus wagon had
hoses blow holes, come loose, electric fan wiring slip, etc... and
overheating has always scared me...
