Alcantara S.P.A is an italian corp. in northeren Italy.
Their contact numbers are available from the Italian trade mission
in NY at the Italian Embassy.

I have been in contact with the company in 1993. They were looking for a 
US distributor at that time.
The same fabric is marketed for a lot less dough under the "Micro-Suede"
brand from Japan.
In 1993, they were quoting $55.00 USD for a square meter of cloth, any 
color. Leather is cheaper. Go figure. They also had a variety of Nap 
depths or textures if you will.
