RE: Door Wiring Problems



Frank,
  Remove the door panel and the drivers footwell covers.  All wires into
the
door should have a connector in the footwell area.  Disconnect all
related
connectors, fish all the wiring and connectors back out through the
door.
  You should then have enough slack to make your fixes.  I would suggest
soldering vs crimps as the area in the bellows is restricted and crimps
take
up more room.  Also consider staggering your solder joint so as to avoid
a
large bulging area of fixes.  Final note.  Try not to make the harness
any
shorter, it is usually better to add in a small section of new wire...
