Hey Tom ... if you don't like the heat stay out of the kitchen!  This is
the quattro list after all ... you've gotta expect the church lady's
superiority dance every once in a while!  I don't know how much people
were "bad mouthing" the Rustang so much, although I must say that the
experience I cited was a stock urQ (which I chose used over a new 5
liter BTW) and I paid nowhere near "twice" the cost of a new 'stang.
Hey, it was my choice ... feel free to choose for yourself, no matter
what anyone else says.  How much are those mid '80s 'stangs selling for
now?  I'd figure I could trade my '83 urQ for at least 2 of 'em today!

I'd like to see what you can do to Rusty for half the cost of a WG
spring and an EPROM that'll put you anything more than even farther
behind!  Then after we're done there, we can go up to the Sierra and try
again on the snow!  

Why is the Frod using 28 year old technology anyway?  Because the
"enthusiasts" didn't cotton to the company's attempts to update the
design!  Whatever happened to the Probe anyway?

Hey, I've driven my brother-in-law's '98 TransAm with a 6 speed ...
yeee-haaaw!  I haven't had that kind of fun in a car for some time; and
my BIL absolutely loves it.  I don't think that it is anywhere near as
practical a car as a quattro ... and that sucker is over $30K as well.
Frankly, it seems to me that car can easily bite someone who was playing
around with it yet didn't know how to handle the oversteer; he's got a
14 year old son too ...

I'm sorry for the tirade ... hey, I'm pretty accepting of almost any
marque, especially ones from the good ol' USofA, and I've got a friend
with a T-bird SC which is a pretty nice car too.  What's wrong with
proclaiming one's personal victories, or presenting factual comparative
data anyway?

... hey did I tell you the one about the Volvo turbo that couldn't keep
up with my stock urQ either off the line or in the following cloverleaf
... or the supercharged Buick that tried to take me now that I've got
the boost mods in place ... :)

One last thing ... in all three of the above mentioned instances, I was
NOT the person who decided that I was going to get around them!  I was
in the lane I wanted to be in, and each one of them decided to take the
chance that they could beat me ... and frankly I was figuring that I was
going to lose; but hey, I'm always up for the challenge ... :)
