Pentosin, viton, questions??

Hi all, Just a  couple of questions: Is Pentosin compatible with Viton?
I've had leaks on my power steering pumps before that I have repaired by
replacing the o-rings on the x-headed plugs. I used the o-rings out of the
seal kit. Could I buy some metric viton o-rings and use them instead of
buying the whole seal kit? Rod at IPC told me the elastomer materials that
come in contact w/ Pentosin needed to be Viton. Anybody know anything about
