Four wheel alignment.
Hello folks,
Just to say that if anyone were not convinced at the wisdom of a proper four
wheel alignment, I had my car up to 110 last night where previously on the
same stretch of road 100 was the most I could expect. Secondly, and this is with
new tyres as well so bear that in mind, I managed to take a set of corners at
ninety odd and scare myself witless. Incredible. It just settled nicely and
cruised round them. I hate to think what speed a urq would have managed as I
reckon that with confidence they could be taken at 100+ in my 80 q. The fastest
I took them in my 80 sport was 80 odd. I am going to get points on my licence at
this rate.

P.S. the new tyres are Yokohama A520's and so far I can thoroughly recommend
them. I am not sure if you can get them in the U.S., I asked Tire Rack if they
sold them but haven't heard back yet. They are supposed to be a replacement for
the A509 and A510. Obviously I cannot comment on wear rates but initial
impressions are that they certainly have plenty of grip in the dry and they are
quite quiet. Not sure how progressive they are when they start to break away
as as yet I have not managed to get them to do this...
