In the U.S., the CQ was only marked with rings fore and aft, plus the 
"quattro" defroster. The parts fiche shows the grille badge (P/N 893 
853 736 A and 893 853 645 A for the 2 clips), as well as "Audi", 
"quattro", "20", and "V" badges for the rear. These are have valid P/Ns 
in the U.S. I think they were probably not fitted because there was 
no reason to distinguish this car from the FWD or 10V cars because 
they were not sold in NA. Also, a lack of badges was considered 
elegant at the time (see V8).

I've got the "quattro" on the grille, but I've left the rear badges off. 
Anyone in front of me that sees the "quattro" should use it as his/her 
cue to move aside. If they are behind me, it doesn't matter, because 
I'm likely pulling away.  :^)
