Re: brake vibration on a '92 100
To: quattro
Scott,
Sounds amazingly like TSB 459104, "ABS Pump Noise and Slight Brake Pedal
Vibration"
Subject:
Weak signal from Wheel Speed Sensor causes ABS return pump to come on at
speeds below 20 mph/30 kph.
Models: All with ABS
Condition:
Driver notices ABS pump noise and slight brake pedal vibration.
Weak signal from one wheel speed sensor.
Service:
Check wheel speed sensor.
Check correct fitting of wheel speed sensor (final stop).
Measure the inner resistance of the sensor according to test step 10 ABS
Fault Finding (I don't know what this is and I can't seem to find it). Move
the sensor cable during this test to determine if poor connection is
present.

I noticed when I apply my brakes I feel a vibration from the front end.
It doesn't happen much, had the car six weeks now and it happened once
the first week I had it and only twice over the next five weeks.
Anybody know what this might be. I really notice it when I am going
very slow coming to a stop at a light/stop sign.
