I've used a couple massive Zip ties. They are thinner than a hose clamp
would be. I've got it cinched tight enough to be able to pluck it like a
guitar string. It seems to provide the necessary assistance for the 
(close to) 2.0 bar upgrade I'm running.

BTW, if nobody has responded about this yet, there are people on the
list who've upgraded thier ECUs for >2 bar (i.e 2.5 bar). The mods
involve a new pressure sensor and EPROM mods. So, it's more than a chip
swap since the stock sensor tops out around 2 bar.
