I actually paid extra for 0 - deductable glass coverage and I have heard
that a windshield every 2 years is typical here.  I was never warned or
questioned by my insurer.  There really is some kind of list communicated
between companies and I really am black-listed because of putting in a new
windshield every two years.  If I were rich I would definitely be
self-insured (excepting liability).
