Race against Trans Am V8

I went with my friend to something in Atlanta called Car Club.
This is where car enthusiast come together and show off there cars. There
are tons of modified 5.0s, Hondas, and street cars you would see in an
IMSA race, now known as Professional Sports Car Racing. Anyway, you hear
lots of guys cranking their $3-10,000 stereos and lots of rumbling V8s.
All the cars group up like a car show according to car names. This week
we had to represent Audi. So we drive through the middle of all the cars,
parting them like the red sea as everyone gives us our respect.
The point. There is this Special Edition V8 Trans Am with crome stock
17" fivestar rims who is doing donuts in an open area of the lot, peeling
tires, stiring up smoke and everybody's attention. We leave and this
same car starts playing with my friend in his 88'5ktq. They go at it for
a while then he attacks me. I didn't want to race because I had just sold
my coupe and I was borrowing my brothers mint condition 87' 5kt but he
kept testing me by gasing his car beside me back and forth. After he did
that about 4 or 5 times I gassed it. We were engaged in a race.I was
suprised but we speeding in the midnight neck and neck. At 105 the V8
started pulling away a little and then we stopped because it was a 45 mph
zone and we were well above that.
We all stopped at a waffle house to eat. I thought he was playing and
hadn't really put it all down but my friend were cheering me on and the
guy asked me what I had under the hood. I told him my brother put a K&N
air filter and a performance wastegate spring but other than that it was a
stock 2.2 5-cylinder turbo engine. The guy couldn't beleive it and I
couldn't at first. I'm 22 and sometimes the little bit of German blood in
me takes over. He won the race maybe to power or aerodynamics. Who knows.
All I know is he get a car lenth on me or leave me at a stop light.
