Re: another quattro goes down in its element
Man that's terrible about you 4kq. We just sold our 4kq because my mom
had surgery and wasn't able to drive stick all the time so we bought her
an Audi 100. I had a 5ktq that i bought but it needed some work. I went
for it out of state and drove it home and worked on it. Almost all the
major bugs were out of it. After fixing suspension work, i took the car
on a test run because before the car would shift side to side. Because
the problem was so severe I nerver really put the pedal down so i put it
maybe half to two thirds to the floor. The car had a performance chip in
it so it had about 220 hp. The car took off like a jet. I felt like the
seat was tring to move through me. I shifted gears and then i heared a
pop or explosion and the car shut off. I rolled further down the hill to
get closer to my house and the I popped the hood, got out the car, started
call my father on the cell phone and open the hood. Right before I was
about to step forward to open the hood, flames shot out. I couldn't
belive it. My car was on fire, burning quickly. By time my father and the
fire truck got there and put it out the car was totalled. Since I wasn't
driving the car on the road I hadn't yet insured it so I was totally out
of a car. But God is good because it could have exploded much worse and
injured me. I know that the fuel mixure was rich and it had old dripping
injectors so we speculate that it backfired and popped a fuel line and
began the aweful distruction of my 5ktq. I'm looking to buy a 200q in the
summer and chip it out. I hope I can find one in price range.
