retrofitting headlight washers

Won't do any good at all.  Have you stood outside a car with headlight 
squirters and seen the sheer _FORCE_?  Windshield x 10.

Don't forget that headlight washers usually only engage when the lights are 
on.  That blast of force uses a _LOT_ of water in a few fractions of a second.

Well, as a driver of a German car you should use the right tool - a 
'Fliegerfetzer'.  It's a small, hard, yellow synthetic sponge.
