Neil, That is a good thought, but, I had the K24 on the original engine
with the Stage II mod for several years with no problems so I do not 
believe that the K24 is the source of the problem. Also, I get da pingk
with only like 2-4 PSI of boost, down in the region that the K26
could make at the same RPM.

I've got an idea.  Ya'think that your hot new low rpm booster K24 would
have someyhing to do with your ping?  

Makes sense to me.  If Ned tweeked the timing of your Stage II box for a
stock K26 on a 7:1 CR engine he could have dialed in a lot more timing than
he could knowing that the little K24 will be building boost sooner.

So your effective K24 CR at low speeds may be enough higher than K26 low
speed that now you have da'pink. So you just have more boost than the Stage
II timing is expecting at lower engine speeds and part throttle.

What do you think? 

  The same kind of thing happens on the 2.3 turbo Ford when you try this
cam over that one, or go to a bigger turbo or both.  The SuperChip that
works on one will be too much timing on another.
