Most of the list is not anywhere.  Most of the list is not in New
Zealand.  Most of the list is not in Albequerque.  If the criterion
of not posting stuff relevant to where most of the list is not becomes
decisive, nothing would ever be posted.

The purpose of the post was to express my gratitude to the list member
(in England) who was materially helpful in getting my repair agreed by
my insurance company.  As it happens, the event I referred to will
probably have more list members at it than very many North American
events that have been reported here in detail - at least four are
regular attendees among the twenty-five or so ur-quattros that Area C1
manages each month.

(BTW - for those interested - the fax authorising the repair has just
 arrived.  It deletes the new roadwheel and authorises the rest of the
 repair.  Not a word about 'contract repair agreement'.)
