89 200Q purchase (a.k.a What a Deal!)

Hey folks,
       A friend of mine owns a local performance shop up the road from my
dealership. He stopped in today to get some parts and told me about his
latest purchase. For approximately $4800 he got himself a 89 200q, Pearl
White (complete repaint), ~130K, with lots of expensive goodies that could
have easily amounted to the purchase price of the car. It's got a
boost/chip mod, aftermarket suspension setup, and crossdrilled rotors on
it. I won't see the car until Wednesday, but we talked about it for
sometime.
       He has no idea who has done the chip mod for the car. I told him the
black box should have a label, but it doesn't. Since the in dash boost
guage reads up to 1.8.. it's got to be a IA mod right? My friend says that
it has the blowoff valve installed in the IC hose. He's going to check on
the intercooler mods for me. He's also gonna open up the black box and see
if there is a label inside. 
        If it doesn't have one.. any ideas on how to find out exactly what
he has? He picked it up at the auction and is somewhat new to the Audi
tuning game. He has done extensive mods to his VW Cabrio (including a
Calloway turbo setup) and is just getting started with this Audi. 
        I'll report more when I see it. Any chance this is a lister's
car???
