Re: why Audi's don't hydroplane



It may be possible that the extra weight of the quattro, forces the
contact patches down harder and forces water out much better. Narrower
tires can get rid of water better than wider, so a slightly narrower tire
than needed for a heavy car may be able to get rid of water better than
any other combo. Only my opinion.
