'83 Ur-Q For Sale
Well I have decided that I can't keep two of these cars while others are
wanting! So at great sacrifice, but for the good of man kind and Audiphiles
throughout I am offering my 1983 Ur-Q for sale. I purchased this car in
December '94 from a chap in Montreal, he had owned the car for approximately 6
years. He fell in love and moved to California, which caused his wife to get
upset, and during one evening of wine drinking she decided to take a hammer to
the car (27 times). I have replaced the glass and plastic bits, but have not
touched the rest of the body. My focus has been to get the mechanical
completed before attaching the body. I have completed the brake and
suspension rebuild. All done with OEM parts. The following parts have been
replaced; sub frame bushings, control arm bushings, ball joints, tie rod
assmblies front and rear, struts front and rear including new rubber stops and
cups, rotors front and rear, brake lines all around, pads front and rear.
Before my owning the car, the engine was upgraded to an '86 5000 turbo block
and head. The turbo, wiring and ECU are all to 1983 spec. The car shows
142,000 km on the odometer (approximately 90,000 miles), I have put
approximately 10,000 km of that on over the past 3 years. The original color
was changed from an Artic White to a Pearl White, this paint job is a least 9
years old so it isn't hiding anything. I am offering this car at $3,800 US.
The car is currently in storage, but I will drive it half way to you at any
time, or shipping can be arranged.
