I *have* made the comparison between a '87 5ktq (Gen. I, as QSHIP calls it)
and my '89 200q ... these two cars are very nearly identical (save for the
engines) so the comparison is at least of the Granny Smith v. McIntosh
variety...

It's a deal!  (Seriously ... Paula and I are seriously thinking about taking
a vacation later this year and we are trying to decide between the UK and
NZ.  Unfortunately, NZ appears to be quite a bit more costly, at least so
far as airfare is concerned ... of course, that's why they invented plastic,
right?)

Congratulations!  Walter Rohrl is one of those "hero" drivers I mentioned
and if you've mastered it even half as well as he has, then my hat's off to
you ... unfortunately, I'm not in that league yet.  :^(
