I suppose that's a possibility... but the OEM rims on the QSW (i.e. the old
Rabbit GTI rims) aren't really an open face design... and I can't see really
where they would get all that wet.. or at least enough to make a difference...

I guess for now it will have to remain as an "unexplained phenomenon" (hmm...
not unusual lingo for Audi... after all, UFOs do exist!!)
