I agree. The fact that "others do it"  doesnt make it OK in my book.

There is no official ruling on speech, however, it is generally
accepted netiquette to refrain from profanity when mailing to a
list or newsgroup.  It has nothing to do with religious background
or anything like that, it's just a given.

Bottom line...
I don't use it in my posts, and I hope you will make the same choice.
