Re: Koni info (in defense of Koni)

Haven't had to test Koni's warranty yet (fingers crossed). Put them on our 4kcsq
at 75k miles when originals gave up the ghost; car now has 169k and the Konis
still work fine. For what it's worth (perhaps nothing!), I used to be a
distributor for Tokico. Their warranty works much like Koni's.

A question for the better informed: Did the 1991 200T (non-quattro) have the 20v
I5?
Thanks in advance.

Cheers -

I agree wholeheartedly. The original/previous owner of my urq had had the konis
replaced three times before I got the car. AND paid full price for the
replacements each time! The bizarre part is that he was meticulous with keeping
receipts and used the same mechanic for a couple of the change outs. When I
mentioned that I though Koni's were guaranteed for life, he replied "Yeah,
right."
