on BW about larger bore throttle bodies...
Hi!
I see someone is thinking of increasing the bore of their Coupe GT's
throttle body and have a few questions to ask about fitting larger
inlets.
If one fits a larger throttle body in place of the stock
unit, will one have to adjust ignition/valve timing to
cope with the increase air input? I mean in a ECU controlled
car like the 200t (MAC11-based MAC13A ECU) will one need to
adjust the timing values in the timing tables or is there no
need for that at all? What other mods/adjustments will be
*required* when increasing the intake bore?
What performance increases can be expected when fitting a
larger TB to a 10V I5 200t motor?
I need to occupy an idle mind while waiting for some parts suppliers
to get back to me. :)
Thanks.
G.
