racing torsens

allegations are being made that audi PR is bullshitting.  let's
turn this around.  let's see some credible evidence that audi PR
is indeed bullshitting and that all the rags published over the
years are wrong and all the journalists are idiots!

lay 'em on and let the court of public opinion decide.

just to clariy a few things.  the 60/40 split probably referred to the
no-slip split in the same way that the regular torsen would do 50-50. but
since these rags didn't explicitly say that we're probably talking about
some exotic beast that for PR reasons is called "torsen" right?  ugh! 
whatever... 

well guess what?  the new A4TT a.k.a. S4 has a slight rear biased split of
47/53.  geez it's also called torsen center diff.  must be another freaky
audi PR BS contraption or the press must have gotten their facts wrong
again.  yeah it must have been stuff right out of area 51!!! :) :)

hey guys i really don't care.  my next audi may or may not have a torsen
center and i know that whatever's been discussed here will not influence
that decision.  but i think that if you want to build a convincing case to
discredit the torsen it would help to explain the discrepancies with more
than just "the audi PR guys are bullshitting the press and the press is
100% gullible".
