Re: control arm bushings -- hammer 'em

I just renewed all 8 of my bushings in my 4kq. At first, it seemed next to
impossible to get the new ones in, with the rubber and all.

Don't cut anything.

With the arm on a vise, but open enough to allow the bushing to pop through
below, set the bushing ready to slide in, and give it a hell of a wack with a
heavy hammer (don't fiddle with big sockets to contact the metal part -- maybe
getting the old ones out, but not new ones in).

Hit 'em hard, chances are they'll pop in with one good wack.

You may need some brave soul to steady the arm on the vise, as it isn't
clamped in. But if you hit down on the bushing, no sweat.
