Not with mine... not a drop in either fluid... no leaks at all. Hmm... I guess I
got a "good" one!! And my '92 100S has a build date of 01/92... can't get much
earlier than that!!

Yep, 135k miles and running like new. That mileage also includes a couple of
QCUSA track events, a 5500 mile cross-country excursion (AudiFest '97), and some
spirited driving on a daily basis.
(I use Amsoil 100% Synthetic 10w30, FWIW.)
I began thinking... I've done most, if not all of my "mods" AFTER 100k miles!!
That is either a testament to the greatness of the Audi product... or an
indication of (temporary) insanity for me... I'm not sure... it's probably a
combination of the two!! :-)

I've kinda' "battled" with the FWD issue... but don't feel "bad". Sure, I wish
mine were a q also, but I really can't/shouldn't complain. This car has been
great... and it drives fantastic.
Look at it this way... the V-6 with q is a bit heavier... so "we" get a little
more "oomph" due to less weight... which, as you know... is important with the
stock V-6... since we need all the help we can get!!
I kinda' tell myself (i.e. rationalization... I know.. that's all it is...) that
my FWD is like a "restricted" 1998 BTCC touring car (i.e. now that q is banned
from the series)!! With the Eibachs, Bilsteins, and 215/60/15 Comp T/A's... it
sure feels pretty close!! :-)
