| I just read a message in which the author stated he 
would not own a BMW or M-B because of the stigma people in the States attatch to 
them. I think he also wrote about people buying them for an image. I think it is 
unfortunate that the author's choice of vehicles is limited by others 
perceptions. To me, it seems that he is more like the people who buy their 
vehicles for the image than he understands. I really can't care less about what 
other people think of my car. Among my American drivin' friends, my '87 5kq is 
some sort of "queer yuppie car".  I really don't care. 
 Fight the Power!!!  Drive cars, not images(especially other
