As far as I've seen, our vintage speedos are pretty much a fixed
mechanical series of linkages - I think the adjustable part must be a
gear in the tranny, no?  Or maybe you could mess with the counter spring
in the speedo?

See why I didn't answer the first time?  I don't know what I'm talking
about!
