S4 Electrical Problem

This is bizarre.
Since I have gotten the 94 S4 back from Rusnak, here is a perplexing
problem.
1. The left side parking lights-side markers blow fuses-5Amp.
2. The warning display says BRAKE LIGHT after this happens, even though
the rear bulbs still light, and alternates with the broken lamp symbol.
3. The ABS-OFF light comes on, only at night with the headlamps on
after the first two sequences.
Huh?

My theory. A Ground is common amongst the above on the left side and it
is either corroded or been lifted after tranny surgery.
Any guesses?
