RE: Quattro's on Need for speed

Whoops, sorry, it is _really_ called "Fatal Racer" and was produced in
1995 by Gremlin Software Inc. Works in DOS or Win95, but better in DOS.
Supports VGA and SVGA modes.

Actually, there is, and I have it. It is actually called Need
for Speed,
but it is not anything like what is posted on the web page. I
will see
if I can get the manufacturer's name. I do remember that it _is_
a rally
game, and you actually accumulate damage on your vehicle, which
you can
fix in the pit stops, as well as tracks that are inverted and
have
corkscrews. It is a DOS game. I'll find out sometime today.

<snip> I wish there was a PC
game modelled after a rallying championship. But then
again,
anything too
complex would probably melt my home PC (P120, 48meg of
RAM, 2meg
of video
memory, no 3D card).

Yeah - but if you use the 'I think it is commando
engine?'
option it is
pretty fun!! I have noticed little benefit from the
Quattro
system in the
game, though.
