CQ Handling/steering problems, HELP!!!
Oh wise list members,
This is a weird situation. The CQ has not driven quite right (steering wise)
in a straight line ever since it Lift-Throttle-Over-Steered getting on the hi-
way on Friday afternoon. I had to lift off the gas due to the car in front of
me hitting their brakes, so it was not intentional (this is the first time
LTOS has happened to me). Since then, on crowned roads, counter-steering has
been increased by a few degrees and the car wanders more. It handles fine on
very some roads and through twisties. I got under the car tonite (Saturday)
to find nearly all the subframe & anti-roll bar bushes cracked and very hard,
almost to the point of being brittle. It is very annoying to be driving down
roads with 5deg. of countersteer when befor it only took 1deg. Also, why
would the power steering seem to cut out on tight corners neg.-accel from
50mph-20mph? Also does this after hi-pressure washing (almost hit the garage
once). Any help would be greatly apreciated on either problem. I hope the
wandering is just old bushings.
