To which I add:

Having read a tech paper on this setup on the new A6, I'd say you'd better
think twice about this conversion- then change your mind! If the setup on
the S4 is anything like that on the A6 (likely!), you'll have to include a
couple of sensors that register the loading of the car, plus the brain that
adjusts the lights automatically- compensating for loading, emptying fuel
tank, angle of road, speed of car etc.

In fact, this sounds like a system that's a nightmare to troubleshoot- puts
your average Audi problem in the shade.

PS on another subject altogether: has any Euro lister tried the
dual-purpose Fuba '16V' roof antenna for GSM phone reception? These can be
recognized by the wire that wraps around the 'mast' bit. I'd like to have
better reception without putting more antennas on my car.
