Smelly 4kq
Okay, I think my 4kq (87 vintage) just cut the cheese.
Seriously, all 4th grade humor aside, my car STINKS.
Just had a terrible winter storm up here in Chicago, complete with ice
rain and snow... went to shovel out the Q tonight (I know, I should get
her a garage... someday), so I started it up and stepped outside for what
turned out to be ~10 minutes of scraping and swearing.
Get back inside, (had the heater blower cranked), and things were smelly.
It smells *something* like an electrical burnout -- ozon-y... but as I
drove, it got worse.
Rembmer, my Aux fan is stuck on ...
Took a peek under the hood -- nothing smelly there (but it is dark so I
can't say something isn't smoking for certain). Took a look at the
exhaust when running, yes, plenty of pressure there -- no snow blocking
the exhaust...
So, I'm driving .. after about 10 minutes on the road, it is really ugly
inside. The smell just keeps on comin'.
Far as I can tell, it *may* be coming from the vents... can't really tell
because I can't keep them off long enough while driving without foggin' up
the windows...
Any hints?
Thanks,
Mark
