Hi!

Funny story about the faulty lights/autocheck system on my car. The
brake light and taillight warning signals come on, but all the lights
work, the 3rd brake light sometimes comes on when putting the headlamps
on and the release solenoid for the auto tranny clicks when I put the
headlamps on as well. Today I took it in to the electrician. The car
did not show any bad signs at all! It refused to show up the problem.
Typical, it happens all the time. The signals haven't happened today
at all. I am just posting this message now in the hope that as soon as
I post a "problem cleared up" message the problem will start happening
again, as is typical of the Audi gods work since they seem to monitor
this list very closely for problems that have cleared themselves and
then they flip a switch and make them start happening again! The
electrician just had a look at the ground points in the boot and on
the manifold, but all looked sturdy, he didn't use a DMM at all (no
use when the problem isn't happening). Anyway, just putting the word
out on the list that the problem has cleared in the hope that the
Audi gods hear me and make the fault return immediately after this
post so that I can find out where it is going wrong! :)
