Window tint removal Q.

I know we have probably been here before, but I can't find good information on
how to remove window.  In the past I have used razor blades followed by laquer
thinner, but that can scratch, especially on the rear defogger grid.  

Sooo, does anyone have any great method, chemical or other, to remove
automotive tinting.  The glass is out of the quattro, so it should be easy...
