Rebuilding my driveshaft
I finally got the Lobro boots in from NAPA the other day, so hopefully, if
I get all my school work done today, I'm going to rebuild my pass
driveshaft in the morning. Hopefully, they're not gritty inside and if
it's a little bit, I'll just need to spray everything off with a bunch 'o
cans of brake cleaner. I just love those chlorinated solvents!!! The only
problem is the inner cv bolts. I haven't seen 'em at Sears or anywhere
alse. I'm going to try Pep because they loan tools, but I don't know if
they'll have it. I do have a lot of spares, so I can just go in and
eliminate guess work. Where have others gotten them? How much? 3/8 or 1/2"
drive? Now, would it be acceptable to use the new bolts that come with the
kit? They are 6 pt. hex. I know that they can strip not be torqued as much
as the m splines, but can they be torqued enough for the purpose? What is
torque spec? TIA!!!
