Polyurethane A-arm Bushings
I just completed the front 4 a-arm bushings. It took 3 hours. I
installed the polyurethane ones from TAP @ $20 each. The steering is
amazing and very crisp and there isn't any squeaking noise. They are
3-piece with a 2-part rubber bushing with a metal shaft in the middle,
which makes it easy to install with just a vise. To pop the old bushing
out I placed the a-arm on a vise with my friend steadying it and took a
socket about the same size, placed it over the bushing and whacked at it
until it popped out. In the 4 years I've owned the car this is my 3rd set
of a-arm bushings and I felt it was time to try something new. The
Polyurethane ones are better designed and easier to install. No squeaking
yet, but we will see.
