oil consumption

Recently had lunch with a lube engineer from Pennsoil and was able to ask a
few questions. First off oil consumption during breakin is normal
especially if driven spirited. The point I really wanted to make is his
recommendation to maintain the same oil in the engine all the time. His
comment was it won't cause any damage but the engine needs to get used to
that brands additives to stop using oil. With that I would make sure that
when you change oil in between the dealer changes they use the same brand
as you or you use the same brand as they.
