Any S4 experience out there?

         Hi:  I'm new to list and amazed by the amount of info out there.
         
         Is there anyone out there who's owned and/or maintained a 92 to 94
S4?  
         I test drove a stock 92 S4 recently and was VERY impressed.  Felt
like 
         a sports car that could easily masquerade as a family sedan (four
doors 
         & big trunk and all that).  Seems like a great mid-life crisis car.
         
         Outside of the standard used car warnings, what kind of things
should 
         one watch out for on S4s?  Are there significant maintenance and
repair 
         expenses you don't encounter on standard quattros?  How about the 
         insurance rates, do the insurance companies even know what these
S4s 
         will do?
         
         Any info appreciated.
