92 100S, AC clutch engages then shuts off

My 92 100S had an intermittent engine temp guage readings and also the AC
compressor would engage about ten seconds after engine start, stay engaged for
about three seconds, then disengage and remain disengaged until key was
turneed off then engine restarted.  AC compressor would not stay on.  I read a
service bulletin about the "four wire temp sensor" possibly being the cause of
BOTH problems.  I replaced it with the new three terminal device and the temp
guage seems fixed, but the AC problem remains, same symptoms.  Any
suggestions?  Thanks for your help.
