['87 5KCSTQ] Spring, strut and shock replacement
Thanks to everyone that responded to my request for information on
shock/strut selection for a 5KCSTQ with H&R springs. The common
response was that for H&R springs, go with the Konis, so i think that is
what I'm going to do. Probably yellows up front, reds in back.
This leads me to my next question, what else should I replace when I do
this job? The only other thing i can think of is the strut bearings.
Anything else?
Finally, how hard of a job it to replace the springs, et al? Is it
something I could reasonably expect o be able to complete in a weekend
in my garage, or is this something best left to a shop. I am fairly
mechanicall inclined, but the only suspension work I've ever done was on
a '77 Camaro, quite a different beast.
If I do decide to tackle it myselft, are there any special tools I
might need? Any trick I should be aware of to make the job easier?
TIA for any info! This list is great!
