Re: How can you tell if "the bomb" is bad?



I seem to recall that GM used some hydraulic brake assist on diesels.
I put an engine in a 78 Olds and I think it had hydraulic boost.  The
other option on those was to have a vaccuum pump in place of the
distributor.
