92 S-4 Quattro

I have recently resubscr*bed to this list, and I need some advice. I am
currently thinking about buying a 92 S-4 quattro with 44K miles, from a
local dealer here. He has had the car for some months now, and wants to
move it. 

My question is this: what do I watch out for with these cars - I mean
specifically the S-4 model. I have had several other quattros. I
remember seeing something here last summer about transmission problems
in S-4s. Do these cars have any fatal flaws or weaknesses?  What should
I look for?
