Re:reducing lag via exhaust efficiency

My exhaust has something hollow on it (?) and only a rear muffler. Made a
definite improvement woth the removal of the resonator first and then the
other thing (?) second. On 20 vt cars, can you hollow one cat, the turbo
outlet one and keep the bypass legal and still obtain good sniffer results
at the inspection? Might be a new idea. Keep bottom end (if the cat is
good) and have super top end. I lost a tad of bottom end, but was more
than made up for by the power extension at the top end.
