I've found a _VERY_ good correlation between what my JC Whitney gauge tells me 
and what the best professional Bosch gauges tell me.

I would suggest that the JC Whitney gauge is a little sensitive to fore-and-aft 
shocks when in use.  Check your zeroes between measurements.
